SaskFilm's Training and Career Development Initiatives
SaskFilm supports skill development both on-set and through targeted initiatives designed to build the capacity of Saskatchewan's film, television and interactive industries.
The deeming provision of the Saskatchewan Film Employment Tax Credit program provides training and mentorship opportunities for Saskatchewan residents during the production process. Through this program non-Saskatchewan production employees are hired to train Saskatchewan residents in addition to their regular duties.
Other SaskFilm training initiatives listed below target areas where capacity deficits exist and where upgrading will benefit both individual careers and the Saskatchewan industry as a whole.
